Baltimore County Executive Smith, Police Chief Johnson, and States Attorney Shellenberger discuss Baltimore County's impressive drop in serious crimes, comparing the 2009 statistics to the first six-month stats of 2008. As of the end of June 2009, violent crime decreased by 6.2 percent and total crime in the County decreased by 6.6 percent.

A Helping Hand in Hard Times

Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith announced a new web site, 'A Helping Hand in Hard Times'. The web site contains new resources to help citizens in economic distress.

Patriot Plaza

Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith hosted a ceremonial event commencing Memorial Day weekend. Smith renamed the fountain plaza between the Towson court houses, Patriot Plaza.
