Know about significant police activities and events in your area, and stay safe by following a few simple crime prevention tips that are occasionally provided to the public. This information provides the most immediate communication to the public and is available on the County web site.
Information about various announcements include:
- road closures and traffic delays;
- seasonal crime prevention tips;
- back-to-school safety;
- grant programs;
- upcoming events such as awards, promotion and graduation ceremonies; and
- department initiatives such as fundraising efforts, the annual Shop with a Cop, and the monthly Police Report cable program.
Note: An average of eight news releases are distributed per month, and some days there could be two or three showing up in your mailbox.
