Hess Road Bridge to Close in January
Towson, Maryland (December 5, 2013) – The Department of Public Works (DPW) will temporarily close the Hess Road Bridge over Little Gunpowder Falls in early January to make interim repairs – not to replace the bridge superstructure which is scheduled for 2015. The single-lane bridge, linking Baltimore and Harford counties, will be resurfaced and the deck reinforced beginning Monday, January 6.
To accommodate the work, the span will be closed to traffic daily between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for approximately one week (depending on the weather), according to DPW’s structural engineers. Detour signs will be posted later this month.
