Merrie Holiday Promotes Local Shopping
Towson, Md. (November 18, 2009) - Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith and Merrie Holiday, the County's holiday shopping maven, launched a campaign to promote local neighborhood shopping and dining. The campaign features Merrie Holiday, a busy Baltimore County mother and holiday expert, offering tips on how to find quality time with friends and family while juggling gift shopping, planning holiday parties, and putting up seasonal decorations.
ReDiscover Your Neighborhood Downtown
"Our neighborhood shops and restaurants capture Merrie Holiday's spirit of family, friends, fun and sharing. Now, more than ever, we need to support these locally owned businesses," said County Executive Jim Smith.
The radio and social marketing campaign is part of the County's "ReDiscover Your Neighborhood Downtown" initiative. Barb Clapp Advertising & Marketing, LLC developed the creative concept for the month-long campaign.
The Baltimore County Department of Economic Development's "ReDiscover Your Neighborhood Downtown" marketing campaign supports 3,000 locally owned businesses in traditional retail districts in Arbutus, Catonsville-Paradise, Dundalk, Essex, Landsdowne, Liberty Road, Loch Raven, Overlea-Fullerton, Parkville, Pikesville, Reisterstown, Towson and Woodlawn Village.
