Woman Dies In White Marsh House Fire

White Marsh Md., (September 26, 2009) A 64-year-old woman died in a late night, one-alarm house fire in the 9000 block of Deviation Road. Police identified the victim as Kathy Hall. She lived at the address.

Fire dispatch received a call for a dwelling fire at 11:56 p.m. First-arriving crews from Engine 55 (Perry Hall) found heavy smoke in a middle-of-group townhouse and extinguished a fire found in the basement of the home. The victim was found, deceased, in the basement of the home. No one else was in the home at the time of the fire.

Commanders called the fire under control at 12:45 a.m. on September 27.

The fire remains under investigation. Investigators estimated the cost of fire damage at $150,000.
