Kamenetz Welcomes the LPGA International Crown to Baltimore County

Owings Mills, Maryland (July 21, 2014) – County Executive Kevin Kamenetz is pleased to welcome the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) International Crown Tournament to Caves Valley Golf Club in Owings Mills, Baltimore County.

The International Crown competition is the first of its kind. During the inaugural tournament, 32 players from eight countries will battle for the right to be crowned the world's best golf nation and a purse of $1.6 million. The inaugural tournament will debut July 22-27, at the Owings Mills golf club.

An Exceptional Week

"This will be an exceptional week in Baltimore County," stated Kamenetz. "We are excited that the LPGA selected our County for this inaugural tournament. It gives us the opportunity to showcase the hospitality and sense of community that makes our County so special. As someone proud to call Baltimore County home, I wish the golfers well and all the sports enthusiasts a pleasant, entertaining week at Caves Valley."
