Towson, Md. (July 9, 2008) — The Baltimore County Volunteers are currently looking for committed and caring individuals to join the Baltimore County Kindergarten Volunteer Initiative.

This Initiative aims at providing intergenerational learning to students. Qualified Kindergarten Classroom Volunteers will support teachers in their goal of encouraging and assisting students. In conjunction with the Baltimore County Public Schools, compassionate and patient people are encouraged to volunteer a few hours of their time each week.

There are openings in elementary schools throughout the County. The first Mandatory Orientation for volunteers will be Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the ESS Building on the Greenwood Campus in Room 114 on the BCPS Administrative Campus, which is located at 6901 Charles Street in Towson.
