Tour of Hampton Mansion, Therapeutic Theater, Plein Air Painting, Radio for Music People

Towson, Maryland (July 1, 2014) - The summer edition of smARTS, the Baltimore County arts and culture television program, is now airing on Baltimore County cable channel 25. 

Featured segments include:

  • Host Carolyn Black-Sotir joins the curator of the Hampton National Historic site in Towson for a private tour of decorative arts at the mansion house.
  • Discover the Magical Experiences Arts Company, a troupe that creates theater works that reach individuals with severe disabilities.
  • WTMD public radio calls itself "radio for music people."  Find out how the Towson University station is reaching out to musicians, artists and the community.
  • Plein air artist Julia Sutliff talks about how the wilds of nature inspire her oil paintings.

smARTS airs Thursdays and Fridays, 7 to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesdays 11:30 a.m. to noon on Baltimore County cable channel 25. smARTS Segments are available 24/7.

smARTS is a production of the Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences in partnership with the Baltimore County Public Schools and BCPS-TV.
