Towson, Md. (June 20, 2008) — Baltimore County government offices, and the District and Circuit Courts, will be closed on Friday, July 4, in recognition of the Independence Day holiday.

On that day, there will be no charge for metered parking in the county. Health Department clinics, libraries, senior centers, the county animal shelter will be closed, and CountyRide vans will not run.

No Trash, Recycling, or Yard Material Collection on Independence Day

Baltimore County residents whose trash or yard materials would normally have been collected on Friday, July 4, should set it out Friday night for collection on Saturday, July 5.  Residents whose recyclable bottles & cans or mixed paper would normally have been collected on Friday, July 4, are asked to hold those items until the next scheduled day for those types of materials (Friday, July 18). 

During the week following Independence Day, there may be delays of a day or more in scheduled pickups – residents are asked to leave materials out until collection occurs.

Baltimore County’s Eastern Sanitary Landfill, as well as the County’s other trash and recycling drop-off facilities, and County offices, will be closed on Friday, July 4.
