Chief Johnson Presented with Outstanding Service Award by NOBLE
Baltimore County, Maryland (August 12, 2013) -On August 4, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) presented Chief Jim Johnson with an Outstanding Service Award for his role as chair of the National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence.
NOBLE commended Chief Johnson for his steadfast leadership and commitment to working in a collaborative spirit to keep this nation free of gun violence. The award notes that his voice has been one of reason and consistency and his efforts are truly appreciated.
Chief Johnson stated, "I am honored to receive the award. The issue of firearms violence is very serious and I am gratified that my efforts to call for a background check for all firearm sales nationwide have been recognized by leading law enforcement organizations."
The award was presented to Chief Jim Johnson in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
