Police Announcements
The Baltimore County Police Department distributes information about various departmental activities, events, and crime prevention. Some examples of the information that is shared include:
- road closures and traffic delays;
- seasonal crime prevention tips;
- back-to-school safety;
- grant programs;
- upcoming events such as awards, promotion and graduation ceremonies; and
- department initiatives such as fundraising efforts, the annual Shop with a Cop, and the monthly Police Report cable program.

Effective immediately, Baltimore County Police will discontinue collection of DNA samples at the time of arrest from suspects charged with certain violent crimes.
