Police Investigate Assault of Towson University Student

Update: Suspects responsible for the stabbing of a Towson University student during an armed robbery on Sunday, November 3 have been identified.

Towson, Maryland (November 4, 2013) - Police are investigating the assault and possible robbery of a Towson University student last night in Precinct 6/Towson, near the university.

Police and EMS personnel responded to Centre and Burke avenues at about 10:50 p.m., where they found a 24-year-old man who had suffered multiple stab wounds. Police and EMS personnel were called to the scene by a passerby, a woman, who said the victim flagged her down while standing in the middle of the street, indicating that he needed help.

Because of the seriousness of his injuries, the victim was not able to talk to police in detail about what had happened. He told police that he had been attacked by three thin, black males. There is no additional description of the suspects.

The victim was transported to a local hospital. The name of the hospital and the identity of the victim are being withheld for safety reasons.

Police found that the victim's cell phone was missing and are investigating this as a possible robbery.
