Driver Unidentified in Fatal Crash in Precinct 3/Franklin

Baltimore County, Maryland (October 16, 2013) - Baltimore County Police are still working to identify the man who died in a single vehicle crash in Precinct 3/Franklin on Saturday morning. Investigators are hoping that test results will provide a positive identification.

On October 12 at 3:49 a.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to Cronridge Drive and Cronhill Drive for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a single vehicle that was on fire.

The driver, a man who is believed to be in his late 30s, was driving a 2005 Chrysler 300C northbound on Cronridge Drive approaching Cronhill Drive when the crash occurred. The vehicle crossed over the center line, went off of the west side of the road, impacted a utility pole, impacted a tree and caught fire. The operator of the Chrysler was trapped in the vehicle and declared deceased at the scene.

This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
