What did your parents do for a living?
My mother was a nurse and my father was a bus driver.

Where did you go to high school?
Carver High School in Baltimore City.

Who was your role model growing up?
My cousin, James Dingle.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A teacher.

Do you have a favorite sports memory from your youth?
Winning a major swim meet at my high school.

What is your favorite food?
All seafood.

What is your favorite kind of music?
Smooth Jazz.

What is your favorite movie?
Midnight Run

What do you do to relax?
Play basketball and read.

What is the best part of your job?
Interacting directly with my constituents and assisting them with their needs and wants for the community, specifically the Fourth District.

What is the best advice you have ever received that you would like to pass along to the younger generation?
Stay in school and always be prepared.
