Where did you grow up? 
I
grew up in the Baltimore County communities of Lochearn and Owings Mills, areas that I now represent on the County Council.

What did your parents do for a living?
Dad was a pharmacist.  Mom worked with Dad in the family drug store, and later worked as a counselor for the American Cancer Society.

Where did you go to high school? 
Gilman High School

Who was your role model growing up?
My teachers at Gilman served as excellent role models for me.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I knew that I would become a lawyer but with an interest in politics.

Do you have a favorite sports memory from your youth?
My brother and I used to take a bus by ourselves to Memorial Stadium and watch the Orioles.

What is your favorite food?
My tastes change over the years.  I have learned to like things that I never would eat as a child.  Right now, my favorite food is sushi.

What is your favorite kind of music?
I like music that I listened to when I was younger.  

What is your favorite movie?
The Godfather.

What do you do to relax?
Unfortunately, I have little time to relax, but when I do,  I like to go to the beach and lie out on the sand and read.

What is the best part of your job?
I enjoy the abililty to help other people, and always appreciate when people tell me that I was able to be of help.

What is the best advice you have ever received that you would like to pass along to the younger generation?
A good education and good morals are the keys to future success in anything that you do.
