Baltimore County police are advising local residents and others about temporary road closures set for Saturday, April 26, because of the Maryland Hunt Cup Steeplechase.

Worthington Valley Area to be Affected

Beginning at 2 p.m., eastbound traffic will be diverted on Tufton Avenue onto southbound Dover Road. Westbound traffic on Tufton Avenue will be stopped for pedestrians as needed. This will allow race-goers to cross Tufton Avenue safely on foot.

The following roads will be closed from 3 to 6 p.m. during the race and until most of the crowd leaves the temporary parking areas:

• Worthington Avenue and Tufton Avenue
• Belmont Avenue and Butler Road
• Belmont Avenue and Tufton Avenue
• Mantua Mill Road and Geist Road
• Tufton Avenue and Falls Road
• Dover Road and Tufton Ridge Road
• Dover Road and Knox Road

No Parking signs will be posted the night before the race. Parking regulations will be strictly enforced.

Traffic is expected to return to normal by 6 p.m.
