Baltimore County Police have placed speed cameras at six new locations:

  • Deer Park Elementary School - 9800 Block of Lyons Mill Road 21117
  • Reisterstown Elementary School - 200 Block of Walgrove Road 21136

  • McCormick Elementary School - 5100 Block of Hazelwood Avenue 21206
  • General John Stricker Middle School - 7800 Block of Trappe Road 21222

There will be a 30 day warning period when the cameras become operational.

More information on Baltimore County's Speed Camera Program can be found on our website: http://www.baltimorecountymd.gov/Agencies/police/speedcameras/

BCoPD is in the process of adding automated traffic enforcement (speed cameras) at these new school locations:

  • Joppa View Elementary, 8700 block of Honeygo Boulevard
  • Windsor Mill Middle, 8200 block of Windsor Mill Road
  •  Dundalk High, 1900 block of Delvale Road
  • Stoneleigh Elementary, 700 block of Stevenson Lane (an existing Stoneleigh Elementary camera in the 800 block of Regester Avenue will remain)

The cameras will be operational in the near future, but motorists should adjust their speed now. For 30 days after each camera is activated, motorists exceeding the speed limit by at least 12 mph will receive warnings rather than citations.

In compliance with state law, Baltimore County's speed cameras operate Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., including during the summer months and on  weekdays when school is not in session.

Additional details about the speed camera program, including the warning and citation process, are available on our web site.
