On Monday, December 21, the Baltimore County Police Department will activate automated traffic enforcement (speed cameras) in a school zone.
The new speed camera will be in the 4400 block of Carroll Manor Road, in front of Carroll Manor Elementary School. For the first 30 days, motorists exceeding the speed limit by at least 12 mph will receive warnings rather than citations.
In compliance with state law, Baltimore County's speed cameras operate Monday through Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., including during the summer months and on weekdays when school is not in session.
