Original release (April 19):

Baltimore County Police are investigating an accident that occurred late Saturday involving a County police cruiser and three pedestrians.

Just after 11:00 p.m., an officer was traveling on Security Boulevard for a call for an assault at Hot Skates on Whitehead Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the officer had lights and sirens activated. As the officer was in the 6600-block of Security Boulevard (between Woodlawn Drive and Whitehead Road), the police vehicle stuck a man and a woman pushing a baby in a stroller.

No additional information on the condition of the people struck at this time. Two people were taken to Johns Hopkins hospital and one person was taken to University of Maryland, Shock Trauma Center.  The officer involved in the accident was not injured.

Names cannot be released at this time. Police are continuing to investigate.

The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Woodlawn area.

On April 18, at approximately 10:47 p.m., police were notified by a local hospital of a victim who had just walked into the location suffering from a gunshot wound. The 54-year-old male victim told police that he was shot in the area of Belmont Avenue and Security Boulevard, 21207. The victim stated that he was parked on the side of the road using his cell phone when he was approached by two suspects. The suspects indicated to him that he was being robbed and began assaulting the victim. The victim fled the scene when at least one gunshot entered the rear window of his car striking him in the back. The victim was able to drive to a local hospital where police were called.

The suspects are described as black males, 20-30 years old, 6' tall, 180-200 pounds, and wearing dark clothing. The older of the two had a thin beard. The suspects left the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim is in stable condition and is expected to recover from his injury.

The Baltimore County Police Department is asking anyone who may have information about this crime to call 410-307-2020. No additional details are available at this time.
