UPDATE (March 27): Police now believe that Donald Wayne Richards died as a result of being struck by a vehicle and the investigation is now being handled by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.

UPDATE (previous):

Police have identified the man found deceased at Deboy Avenue and North Point Road March 5 as 44-year-old Donald Wayne Richards of the 1900 block of Dineen Road in Dundalk.

The autopsy was inconclusive. The medical examiner is waiting on toxicology test results which may take some time.

Original release (March 6):

The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating the death of man found Wednesday evening, lying along the roadway in North Point. 

At approximately 7:38 p.m., police were dispatched for a man lying unconscious in the roadway at Deboy Avenue and Old North Point Road. The investigation revealed that the unidentified male subject was deceased and was suffering from trauma to his head. Crash Team and Homicide investigators were summoned to the scene. The investigation is being handled by the Homicide Unit. The facts surrounding the death of the man are unclear at this time. 

The victim's body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy will be conducted. Anyone with information is being asked to call Baltimore County Police at (410) 307-2020.

The Baltimore County Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in Dundalk.

On February 8, at approximately 9:14 p.m., police were notified of a shooting victim who walked into a local hospital. The police investigation revealed that the victim had been shot in the 100 block of Main Street, 21222. The unidentified victim was shot multiple times, but is expected to survive his injuries.

There is no suspect information or known motive at this time.

Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit responded and will handle the follow up investigation. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Baltimore County Police Department at 410-307-2020.

At 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to the 100 block of Kweisi Mfume Court, 21222, in Turner Station for a report of a gunshot wound. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body.

The male was taken to an area hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.

The initial investigation into this incident by the Baltimore County Police Department Violent Crimes Unit has indicated that the victim was in an alley in the 100 block of Kweisi Mfume Court when he was shot multiple times by the suspect. The suspect then fled the scene.
