Baltimore County Police are investigating the theft of over $500,000 worth of cognac in Rosedale.

At approximately 4:58 a.m. on March 16, unknown suspects entered a fenced-in parking area of ServeU in the 7000 block of Quad Avenue in Rosedale (Precinct 12 section). The suspects then gained entry to a white 2001 Freightliner truck with "Hale Trucking" on the door of the cab. The truck was then hooked up to a cargo container on a trailer. The trailer was yellow in color with MSC on both sides.

Inside that container was 2142 cases of Hennessey Cognac worth $514,000.

The suspects cut the lock on a gate and fled the scene with the truck and trailer.

The truck and trailer were recovered on March 25 at Monroe Street and Mulberry Street in Baltimore City. The cognac had been removed from the trailer.

This incident remains under investigation by the Regional Auto Theft Task Force.
