UPDATE (July 11):
Detectives from the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit continue to investigate the Wednesday morning shooting in Essex that left a man injured.
The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that at approximately 4:30 a.m., three suspects entered the home and went to where the victim and his roommate were sleeping. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and shot him once in the mid-body before fleeing the scene.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where his current condition is unknown. There were no other injuries reported.
Detectives believe that this was a targeted crime.

At 4:30 a.m. this morning, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to a home in the 800 block of Arncliffe Road 21221 for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
This incident is under active investigation by the Baltimore County Police Violent Crimes Unit. Detectives will be working to determine if this crime was targeted.
