Monday night at 9:22 p.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to the Unit block of Ridgelawn Road 21117 for a report of an apartment fire. Upon arriving at the location, officers found an adult female hanging out of a second floor window. The female told officers that she could not get out of the location.

That female was rescued by Baltimore County Firefighters. She was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of smoke inhalation. A male juvenile was transported to Northwest Medical Center for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The fire department determined that the fire was caused by a pot on the stove in the kitchen. The residents of two homes were displaced as a result of the fire.

No injuries to fire or police personnel were reported.

There were 18 pieces of Baltimore County Fire Department equipment dispatched to the location
