BCoPD has added red light cameras at Goucher Boulevard and Putty Hill Avenue to its red light camera program.

The new cameras have been installed on Goucher in both the northbound and southbound directions. Warnings will be issued for 30 days, after which motorists failing to obey the red light will receive citations that carry a $75 fine.

Red light cameras -- used to help police officers enforce laws requiring motorists to stop at red lights -- operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additional information on the red light camera program is available online.

On February 1 at 10:54 p.m., Baltimore County Police responded to the unit block of Straw Hat Road for a report of a robbery.

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that the 40-year-old male victim was in front of his apartment building when he was approached by two suspects. They pushed him down and kicked him in the head. The suspects took the victim’s wallet that contained $700 before fleeing the scene.

The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 20 and 29. One suspect was short and stocky with a gray and white striped shirt. The other suspect was taller and wore all dark clothing. The suspects were later caught on video surveillance at a nearby gas station. Surveillance photos of the suspects are posted below.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the incident but he was not transported to a medical facility.

This incident is being investigated by the Franklin Precinct Investigative Services Team.
