At 10:59 a.m. this morning, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to the 6800 block of Bellona Avenue in Govans for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a car.

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that a Honda Accord was parked on the north-bound side of the 6800 block of Bellona Avenue. An adult male had just gotten into the car and was about to drive away. A Toyota Camry was traveling north-bound in the 6800 block of Bellona Avenue. The Camry struck the Accord in the rear driver’s side. The impact drove the Accord into an unoccupied golf cart which then struck a female pedestrian. After colliding with the Accord, the Camry swerved to the left, then swerved back right, went up on a curb, struck a utility pole, and came to rest next to a tree.

The 45-year-old female pedestrian was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by medic for treatment of serious injuries. The 33-year-old male driver of the Accord and the 30-year-old female driver of the Camry were transported by medic to St Josephs Hospital with minor injuries.

This incident is under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Crash Team.
