At 3:32 p.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire Personnel responded to Pulaski Highway and the Harford County line in reference to a call for a pedestrian that had been struck by an automobile. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an adult male lying in the street with traumatic injuries. He was declared deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that a 2007 Honda Accord was traveling west-bound on Pulaski Highway crossing from Harford County into Baltimore County. An adult male pedestrian was crossing Pulaski Highway from the north side to the south side. He was not in a crosswalk. The Honda Accord struck the pedestrian as he crossed the roadway.

The Honda Accord remained at the scene.

The pedestrian has been identified as 27-year-old Paul Robert Mack with a last known address in the 6800 block of Broening Road in Dundalk.

The Baltimore County Police Crash Team is actively investigating this incident.

UPDATE: Police release the names of the suspect and the victim in the homicide on Paulette Road Thursday afternoon.
 
Baltimore County Police have identified the victim in the homicide on Paulette Road Thursday as 52-year-old Richard Anthony Washington of the 2000 block of Paulette Road.
 
The suspect has been identified as 18-year-old Richard J Washington of the 2000 block of Paulette Road. He has been charged with first degree murder and is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
 
The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that the victim and the suspect were involved in an argument when the suspect shot the victim several times with a large caliber firearm. The victim is the suspect’s father.

Original release:

The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in Dundalk this afternoon.

At 1:03 p.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to an apartment in the 2000 block of Paulette Road in Dundalk for a report of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The male was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Police have taken one person into custody in reference to this incident.

This incident is under active investigation by the Baltimore County Police Homicide Unit. This is Baltimore County’s first homicide to occur in 2014.

Further information on this incident will be released as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Margaret Mary Coggins has been located.

The Baltimore County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 75-year-old female missing from the Owings Mills area.

Margaret Mary Coggins is a white female. She is four feet 11 inches tall, weighs 260 pounds, and has gray hair and blue eyes. She may be wearing animal print pajamas.

Margaret Mary Coggins should be operating a white 2004 Ford Free Star van.

She was last seen at 1:00 a.m. near the 4500 Block of Chaucer Way.

Anyone with information on Margaret Mary Coggins is asked to call Baltimore County Police at 410-307-2020.
