A 58-year-old female struck by a car at Security Boulevard and Woodlawn Drive on Friday has died.

On Friday, January 3, at 9:08 p.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to Security Boulevard and Woodlawn Drive, 21207 for a report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle. Upon arriving at the location, officers discovered an adult female pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.

The female was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.  She was pronounced deceased on Saturday afternoon.

The initial investigation into this incident by the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team has indicated that the female pedestrian had been crossing Security Boulevard at Woodlawn Drive.  A Volkswagen Jetta was traveling eastbound on Security Boulevard at Woodlawn Drive and struck the female as she crossed the street. The Volkswagen Jetta remained at the scene.

The name of the deceased female is not being released until next-of-kin is notified.

This incident remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department Crash Team.
