At 9:44 p.m. Saturday night, Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to a home in the 6000 block of St. Regis Road in Garden Village for a report of a shooting.  When they arrived on the scene, officers discovered a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.

The male was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injury which is believed to be non-life threatening.

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that a group of juveniles had been in the basement of the home. One of those juveniles had brought a firearm to the location. That firearm discharged when one of the juveniles was handling it, resulting in the injury to the 17-year-old male.

This incident remains under investigation by Precinct 9/White Marsh patrol officers.
