On December 8 at 7:29 p.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 8621 Pleasant Plains Road in Loch Raven for a report of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered an adult male employee suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that the employee was in the store when he was shot by an unknown male suspect after the suspect demanded money. The suspect was wearing gloves and a mask; no additional description is available.  He fled the area in an unknown direction.

The Baltimore County Police Robbery Unit is actively investigating this incident.

The Baltimore County Police Department is asking anyone with information about this crime to contact detectives at 410-307-2020.

A 35-year-old woman was found dead yesterday following a one-alarm house fire in the unit block of Fox Run Court in Precinct 3/Franklin.

The victim is Kendra Michelle Rutherford, who lived at the Fox Run Court home.

Firefighters responded to the home at 3:09 p.m. Fire and smoke were not evident from the outside, but firefighters found smoke inside the home. They removed the  victim from the home and immediately began CPR. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A dog and a cat also died in this fire.

Baltimore County Police fire investigators responded; their investigation of the cause of this fire remains ongoing.
