The former Baltimore County contract employee suspected of stealing a hard drive containing employees' personal information was extradited to Maryland on November 11. He is Courtney Calbert, 34, of the 8200 block of North Boundary Road, 21222.
He was arrested in Florida in October on an open warrant, and waived extradition.
The defendant was indicted by the Baltimore County State's Attorney's Office last spring and charged with 10 counts of theft and two related offenses. These charges stem from a case dating back to July 2012 and are unrelated to his possession of Baltimore County employees' personal information. Baltimore County detectives discovered the theft of the County hard drive while investigating the 2012 case. The investigation of this case continues. Additional charges may be pending.

At this time, detectives have not linked Courtney Calbert to any identity theft cases involving Baltimore County employees. There is no information at this time that Calbert used the information contained on the County hard drive.
He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
