Baltimore County Police Robbery Unit detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for the robbery of an Essex BP gas station on February 3.

The initial investigation into this incident by detectives has indicated that on February 3 at approximately 10:33 p.m., the suspect entered the BP gas station in the 200 block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex. He purchased an item and left the store. When there were no more customers left in the store, the suspect came back in, displayed a handgun, and demanded the clerk open the registers. The suspect also struck the clerk in the head with the handgun.  The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

The store clerk was transported to an area hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown.
