Just after 1 a.m. this morning, Baltimore County fire and police personnel responded to a home in the Unit block of Bogby Court 21220 for a dwelling fire. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they observed fire coming from the roof of the home.
The homeowner told police that he had been woken up when lightning struck the home.
The roof of the home collapsed during the fire, and there was some damage to adjacent homes. The fire was placed under control at 2:34 a.m..
There were no injuries to civilians, fire department personnel, or police department personnel. The fire displaced four people.
There were 13 pieces of Baltimore County Fire Department equipment dispatched to this incident.
