Baltimore County health officials have put out this warning about a rabid cat in the Reisterstown area:
The Baltimore County Department of Health is urging residents near Delight Road in Reisterstown (21136) to be aware of possible exposure to a cat which tested positive for rabies on Monday, September 29. The cat was a male, grey striped tabby that may have had a limp.
In light of this incident, area residents are urged to contact the Health Department if they have had direct exposure to this cat AND to take actions to protect themselves, their families and pets from rabies exposure. Precinct 7 - Cockeysville
Sometime between September 17 at 1 p.m. and September 20 at noon, unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked shed and removed landscaping equipment.
Around 4 p.m., two suspects entered the store's rear employee area. They proceeded upstairs and attempted to pry open the manager's office. They were unsuccessful and left the store.
Sometime between September 13 at 7 p.m. and September 14 at 12:46 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's apartment by removing the window screen from an open window. The suspects removed various personal items.
At 4:30 a.m., the victim stepped onto the front loading dock at the business location to take a smoke break. Approximately fifteen minutes later, another employee discovered the victim unconscious, with signs of trauma to his face. The victim has no recollection of what occurred, but noted his wallet was missing.
At 6:27 p.m., an unknown black male came behind the counter of the Garden Center at the Lowes store. He placed what the cashier believed to be a knife against her back and demanded money from the register. The suspect took the money, exited the store, and left the scene in a late model black Jaguar coupe.
Around 4 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered an open garage and stole two bicycles.
