Baltimore County health officials have put out this warning about a rabid cat in the Reisterstown area:
The Baltimore County Department of Health is urging residents near Delight Road in Reisterstown (21136) to be aware of possible exposure to a cat which tested positive for rabies on Monday, September 29. he cat was a male, grey striped tabby that may have had a limp.
In light of this incident, area residents are urged to contact the Health Department if they have had direct exposure to this cat AND to take actions to protect themselves, their families and pets from rabies exposure. Sometime between 3:00 p.m. on April 18 and 9:00 a.m. on April 21, an unknown suspect entered an apartment through unknown means. Jewelry was taken from the location.
Sometime between 2:45 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., the suspects entered a home by unknown means and took a video game system and HDMI cable. The property was later located at a local pawn shop and two juvenile suspects were charged in connection with the incident.
At 2:53 a.m., the suspect gained entry to Excel Car Care by breaking the rear bay door window. The suspect fled when the alarm sounded.
