At 1:22 p.m., a 50-year-old male was attempting to cross a flooded stream. He was swept downstream and later rescued by Fire Department personnel. The male was transported to Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Tonight BCoFD honors first responders and civilians who performed above and beyond the call of duty at ceremonies at Goucher College, 7 p.m.
Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company FF Gene Kirchner, who died in the line of duty last spring, will be honored.
Other recipients include a BCoPD North Point officer who attempted to save someone from a burning building (he will receive the Bronze Star, BCoFD's third-highest award), and crews and a civilian who assisted with the Rosedale train explosion.
The Baltimore County Police Department would like to announce that the hiring process for both police cadet and police officer is now open. Applications will be accepted online only through May 2. Interested individuals can go to www.joinbaltimorecountypd.com or www.baltimorecountymd.gov to apply.
* Candidates for police cadet must be between 17 ½ and 20 ½ years old.
* Candidates for police office have to be 21 years old by graduation from the academy.

At 4:06 a.m., three males were standing outside of the Fire and Ice Hookah Lounge in the 3500 block of Brenbrook Drive when they were shot by the suspect. The suspect fled the area in an unknown direction. The Violent Crimes Unit is investigating this incident.
At 12:30 a.m., the suspects approached the victim and asked for a "light". When the victim reached in his pocket to get a lighter, one of the suspects pointed a handgun at him and said "you know what time it is". The suspects took the victim's wallet and fled towards the Carriage Hill apartment complex.
At 6:50 p.m., the victim approached the suspect outside of his home. The suspect displayed a handgun and ordered him back into his home. The suspect took money, jewelry, a cell phone, and a wallet before fleeing on foot.
