Precinct 11 - Essex
Sometime between 4 p.m. on August 31 and 10:30 a.m. on September 1, an unknown suspect gained entry to Williams Automatic Transmission by removing the window trim on the business office door. Miscellaneous coins were taken from the desk drawer.
At 2:51 p.m., the suspect walked into the TD Bank and up to a teller window. The suspect demanded money and instructed the teller to not press the alarm. The teller handed over cash and the suspect fled the location.
At 1:11 a.m., the victim was walking to work, while intoxicated. Two females stepped out of the alley and offered sexual favors for $50. The victim followed the females back into the alley where he was beaten up and his personal property was stolen. The victim advised he was struck in the head with a pellet gun, and sprayed in the face with a chemical. The victim had injuries consistent with being assaulted.
Between 12:01 and 12:15 a.m., officers responded to an alarm, and found the suspect inside the fenced area of Fruitland Produce. The suspect admitted breaking in and eating a bunch of fruit. A glass window was damaged during the burglary.
At 8:50 p.m., the suspects approached the victim from behind. One of the suspects punched the victim, then the other suspects surrounded him and demanded his phone. The suspects left the scene without the phone when the victim became aggressive. The suspects ( one adult and two juveniles) were located and taken into custody.
At 8:15 p.m., the victim was taking money out of an ATM when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect put a gun to his side and demanded money. The suspect took $100 from the victim and fled the scene.
