Precinct 11 - Essex
At 3:42 a.m., an unknown suspect broke the side window of the By the Docks restaurant and entered the building. He unsuccessfully attempted to gain access to the cash register before leaving the location. Nothing was taken.
At 5:27 a.m., a suspect entered the 7-Eleven store and displayed a handgun to the victim. The suspect stated that he wanted "the money," at which time the victim opened two registers and took U.S. currency out of both registers and placed it in a plastic bag. The suspect then exited the store.
Sometime between 3:57 and 4:27 a.m., an unknown suspect threw a brick through the pane glass window of Eastern Auto Sales Inc and gained access inside. Once inside, the suspect stole several keys to the used cars on the parking lot. The suspect used those keys to gain access to the vehicles and stole two vehicles.
Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on October 10 and 7 a.m. on October 11, an unknown suspect forced entry into the Comcast building through a glass door and stole a set of keys.
At 7:35 p.m., after leaving McDonald's, the suspects approached a victim and two witnesses and then began to assault the victim and attempted to remove money from his pockets. The victim and witnesses called the police. Nothing was obtained by the suspects and they were both arrested.
Sometime between 8 p.m. on September 16 and 2 a.m. on September 18, an unknown suspect entered Ron's Towing Service Inc. through the front door and stole some property. The suspect then sold the property to another business.
