Precinct 11 - Essex
At 11:56 p.m., Baltimore County Fire Department personnel responded to a home in the 1600 block of Poles Road 21221 for a dwelling fire. When units arrived on the scene, there was heavy smoke showing. A fire was found in the basement where a wet-dry vacuum had been left running and was quickly extinguished.
Two neighbors were transported to Franklin Square Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. There were no reports of injuries to firefighters.
The residents of the home were displaced.
