Nearly three months ago, 16-year-old Elise Fellner of Forest Hill was trying out for volleyball at a school in Kingsville when she collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest. Her coach and the athletic director immediately began CPR; BCoFD EMS crews followed up with defibrillation using an automatic external defibrillator. Elise has recovered fully.

She and other survivors of sudden cardiac arrest will join Baltimore County Fire and EMS personnel and elected officials tomorrow, Thursday, October 23, 11:30 a.m., at the Parkville Fire Station. Each year, the Fire Department welcomes survivors of sudden cardiac arrest and the people who helped save them in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of CPR and defibrillation.

The Parkville station is located at 2325 Putty Hill Ave., 21234. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and Fire Chief John Hohman are scheduled to attend. The event will include a demonstration of CPR by EMS personnel.

At 5:05 p.m., three males were driving in a vehicle together. When the car stopped, the victim got out and was then cut by the suspect (had also been in the car)  with a razor blasde. The suspect was located and taken into custody.

At 1:50 p.m., a loss prevention officer observed the suspect placing several bottles of shampoo under his shirt. The victim attempted to detain the suspect at which time the suspect swung a knife at him. A second loss prevention officer assisted the victim in detaining the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody by responding officers.

Sometime between 1:55 a.m. and 1:59 a.m., the intoxicated victim was approached by the suspects while he was standing at a bus stop. He was kicked and fell to the ground. While on the ground, one of the suspects held a gun to his head, and demanded his money and cell phone. The suspect fled with the victim's cell phone and an undetermined amount of cash.
