    The initial investigation into this incident has indicated that the victim and the suspect became involved in a physical altercation inside of an apartment. After the altercation, the suspect shot the victim once in the lower body. Both the suspect and the victim then fled the scene.

    The victim, Summer Shemida Smith, 33, of the unit block of Travis Court, 21237, was nine months pregnant when she was killed. The Baltimore County State's Attorney will review this case to see if additional homicide charges are warranted for the death of the unborn child.

On May 16 at 11:10 a.m., the suspects made entry into the location by damaging the front door lock. The homeowner met them at the front door with a handgun. The suspects fled and were found in the area and arrested.

At 10:09 a.m., the suspect approached a teller at the Wells Fargo Bank and handed her a note demanding money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.

At 8:45 p.m., the victim was walking from his vehicle to the bank when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect grabbed the victim's sweatshirt and pulled it over his head before taking a wallet and money from him.

At 1:20 p.m., the suspect entered the Wells Fargo bank, approached the teller, and demanded money. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
