Precinct 1 - Wilkens
Recently police in Precinct 1/Wilkens have investigated several incidents in which multiple vehicles were broken into and property was taken. The items taken from these vehicles included GPS units, computers and loose change.
Police are asking residents to refrain from leaving personal property in their vehicles. If personal property must be left in a vehicle, leave it out of sight.
Anyone seeing suspicious persons in their community is urged to report the information to police immediately by calling 911.
At 11:19 a.m., the victim reported that she was following a group of subjects that she had called 911 on. While she was following them, one of the subjects pointed a gun at her.
At 8:20 a.m., the suspect and victim were arguing in a leasing office. The suspect produced a knife and lunged at the victim. The suspect was arrested at the scene.There were no reports of injuries during this incident.
