Nearly three months ago, 16-year-old Elise Fellner of Forest Hill was trying out for volleyball at a school in Kingsville when she collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest. Her coach and the athletic director immediately began CPR; BCoFD EMS crews followed up with defibrillation using an automatic external defibrillator. Elise has recovered fully.
She and other survivors of sudden cardiac arrest will join Baltimore County Fire and EMS personnel and elected officials tomorrow, Thursday, October 23, 11:30 a.m., at the Parkville Fire Station. Each year, the Fire Department welcomes survivors of sudden cardiac arrest and the people who helped save them in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of CPR and defibrillation.
The Parkville station is located at 2325 Putty Hill Ave., 21234. County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and Fire Chief John Hohman are scheduled to attend. At 7:25 p.m., two men were arrested after officers found them in the basement of a vacant residence. The suspects were cutting copper pipes and attempting to remove them from the home. Timothy Price, 38, of the 3500 block of Tartarian Court, 21227, and Arthur Thomas, 30, of the 3200 block of Tartarian Court, 21227, were charged with burglary.
At 11 a.m., two suspects were arrested after entering the victim's apartment without permission.
At 9 p.m., an unknown suspect removed copper coil from air conditioning units on the roof of the Halethorpe Community Church.
At 5:30 p.m., the victim got into an argument with the occupants of a disabled vehicle. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim, who fled in her vehicle. The suspects are a white female and a white male.
At 1:24 a.m., officers responded to Hammerman's Powerline Maintenance for a burglary. They located two suspects who were attempting to steal copper wire.
At 1:26 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the Vehicles for Change yard and took catalytic converters from vehicles.
