At 8:52 p.m., two male suspects, one armed with a black semi-automatic handgun robbed the Royal Farms store of money and a large quantity of cigarettes.

At 12:01 a.m., officers responded for a stabbing. They determined that the victim and the suspect got into an argument. One of the men pointed a shotgun at the other man, and he stabbed the man with the shotgun. The suspect was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, and then arrested. Jose Sorto, 46, of the unit block of Merrill Road, 21228, was charged with first degree assault. No charges were filed against the other man.

At 2:13 p.m., two suspects were arrested after assaulting the owner of Coolihan's Bar as he attempted to close for the evening. Two patrons were injured when they attempted to help. Matthew Vonella, 21, of the 8700 block of Dogwood Road, 21244, and Mark Young, 26, of the 2800 block of Georgia Avenue, 21227, were charged with assault.
