Baltimore County health officials have put out this warning about a rabid cat in the Reisterstown area:
The Baltimore County Department of Health is urging residents near Delight Road in Reisterstown (21136) to be aware of possible exposure to a cat which tested positive for rabies on Monday, September 29. The cat was a male, grey striped tabby that may have had a limp.
In light of this incident, area residents are urged to contact the Health Department if they have had direct exposure to this cat AND to take actions to protect themselves, their families and pets from rabies exposure. At 5:05 p.m., three males were driving in a vehicle together. When the car stopped, the victim got out and was then cut by the suspect (had also been in the car) with a razor blasde. The suspect was located and taken into custody.
At 11:50 p.m., two armed suspects entered Today's Pizza and demanded money. The suspect fled the location with an undisclosed amount of money.
At 12:00 p.m., three suspects broke through the front window of 13 De Septembre. Cash and miscellaneous property was taken from the location.
At 9:30 p.m., unknown suspects entered a fenced in area and went through several vehicles.
At 11:44 p.m., the victim was taking out trash when she was approached by the suspect. The suspect punched her, took her money, and ran away.
At 3:15 p.m., the victim was riding his dirt bike when he was approached by four suspects in a gray vehicle. The vehicle ran into the dirt bike, knocking it over. While the victim was on the ground, the suspects took the dirt bike and fled.
