The first thing you notice about the 12-story building at the Towson roundabout is the glass façade that brightens the Towson skyline, but what’s really great about the building is what’s inside.
Now 100% leased, the new $27 million Towson City Center has brought new businesses and their workers to the heart of downtown Towson. There’s corporate headquarters for MileOne Automotive, one of the largest automotive groups in the country, with 35 dealerships in the Mid Atlantic region. Towson University has a major presence in the building with the Institute for Well-Being and WTMD Radio. Business Suites, WMS Partners, Remedi, and Cunningham, a new farm-to-kitchen restaurant from the Bagby Restaurant Group, are among the newest business residents.
Towson City Center tenants are expected to bring 500 new jobs to downtown Towson. While employees are still moving in, restaurants in the area already are noticing new customers for lunch and dinner.
Caves Valley Partners purchased and completely revitalized the building, reusing the existing structure, replacing the façade and all building systems to create what is effectively a new building designed to meet LEED Silver environmental standards.
And yes, on a clear day from the 11th floor, you really can see Towson University, the gold dome of the historic Towson Courthouse, and Harbor East.
