Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce
What do law firms, financial institutions and accounting firms all have in common? They all need to network to prosper and grow.
This week is National Small Business Week and to celebrate, the Baltimore County Small Business Resource Center will be hosting its annual Open House on Wednesday, May 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The event is a great opportunity to interact and build relationships with the people who move small business in Baltimore County. This year’s event will feature a complimentary breakfast, catered by the Spriggs’ Honey Biscuits Inc., who are being honored for their entrepreneurial achievements.
Cliff and Tracie Spriggs opened their catering business in 2005. Since then, they have incubated eight successful startups, including the cupcake designer Icedgems Baking. From patissiers to sauciers, the Spriggs have helped over 300 chefs cultivate their craft in their Randallstown kitchen.
“Small businesses are the backbone of a diverse, growing and economically viable Baltimore County,” said Keith Scott, president and CEO of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce and Small Business Resource Center.
For more than 30 years, the resource center has been a fixture within the county and its business community. Small businesses depend on the SBRC to help them turn their dreams into reality. Honey Biscuits Inc. is a testament to the wealth of knowledge that the SBRC counselors provide.
The Baltimore County Small Business Resource Center is a partnership between the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce and the Baltimore County Department of Economic Development. SBRC works with prospective and current small business owners to assist in establishing, growing and improving their businesses.
