State's Attorney: Child Abuse and Sex Offenses
This division of the State's Attorney's Office reviews, investigates, formally charges, and prosecutes felony offenses including sex offenses with adults as victims, sexual child abuse, and physical child abuse.

The Juvenile Division of the State's Attorney's Office prosecutes all cases of juvenile delinquency on referral from the Police Department and Department of Juvenile Justice. The focus of the Juvenile Court is rehabilitation and treatment of the offender rather than punishment.
