Woman of the Year Awards 2017
Each year the Baltimore County Commission for Women accepts nominations for its annual "Woman of the Year", "Young Woman of the Year" and "Women Making a Difference" awards. This is our 35th year honoring women for their outstanding contributions to the community.
The award honors female residents of Baltimore County who have made significant, unique and lasting contributions within the community, workplace, or school to champion the interests and needs of women and families, to serve as role models of inspiration and achievement for other women or to otherwise enhance the lives of the citizens of Baltimore County.
Nominees for "Young Woman of the Year" must be a high school senior attending a Baltimore County school who is a proven leader and has made an extraordinary impact on her school or community through volunteering.
In addition, one woman—including college students—among the nominees who have made a powerful impact on the community through volunteer efforts will be recognized as "Women Making a Difference."
- Nominees must reside in Baltimore County.
- Previous winners and elected officials are not eligible to be nominated.
Please complete the nomination form online or the PDF nomination form—describing the nominee's qualifications and your reasons for making the nomination. You must also include such items as resumes, curriculum vitae, letters of commendation, newspaper articles, list of activities, etc. Please limit this material to five pages.
- Deadline was Wednesday, January 18, at 5 pm.
- Honorees will notified after Monday, January 23.

The awards presentation will be held on Thursday, March 9. Invitations will be mailed prior to the event.
