Auto Theft Unit

The Auto Theft Unit is the prosecutorial arm of the Baltimore City/County Regional Auto Theft Task Force comprised of detectives from both jurisdictions. The Task Force was formed to curb the increasing numbers of auto thefts in the metropolitan area, with particular emphasis on theft rings and chop shops. The unit is composed of an Assistant State's Attorney and a paralegal who handle all auto theft cases in the juvenile, district and circuit courts.
