Need Shelter Information

For information about and referral to Baltimore County Shelters, please call 410-853-3000.

There are three emergency shelters available to Baltimore County residents:

  • Eleanor D. Comer House in Arbutus - for single women and families with children
  • Hannah More House in Reisterstown - for single women and families with children
  • Nehemiah House in Rossville - for single men

These are 24-hour shelters where meals are provided and social work, health and mental health services are available. Services include case-managed social work, housing assistance, health and mental health services. Referrals to all three shelters depend on the availability of space. Please call the above number for more information.
