There are three emergency shelters available to Baltimore County residents:
- Community Assistance Network (CAN) Shelter at the Eastern Family Resource Center, 9100 Franklin Square Drive - for families
- Hannah More House in Reisterstown - for single women and families with children
- Nehemiah House in Rossville - for single men
These are 24-hour shelters where meals are provided and social work, health and mental health services are available. Services include case-managed social work, housing assistance, health and mental health services. Referrals to all three shelters depend on the availability of space.
