Those persons are considered institutionalized if they are currently, or in anticipation of being admitted into a licensed and certified Long Term Care Facility. They are expected to reside in the Long Term Care Facility for 30 consecutive days or more. They must have an intermediate, skilled or chronic level of care, which is determined by the Del Marva Foundation. They must also meet Income and Resource eligibility according to the State of Maryland Standards.
